Standards Mark System

The Standards Institution of Israel is the leading certifying body in Israel which throughout its history, has issued Standards Mark licenses for products certifying their quality and safety.

The Standard Mark system was established in accordance with the Standards Law, 1953.

The Standards Mark is a voluntary system; however there is a list of products that the Standardization Commissioner at the Ministry of Economics has decided that there is a requirement for supervision of the Standards Institution of Israel over these products and its manufacturing processes.

A product with a Standards Mark or Safety Mark license ensures that the product conforms to the requirements of the standard.
