Sprinklers and firefightinf systems

The branch is engaged in the performance of design tests, installation, and maintenance of fire extinguishing systems. The branch has skilled and experienced, and knowledge-rich personnel in the field.

Fields of activity / tested products:

  • Design, installation, and maintenance tests for sprinklers and fire extinguishing systems: A test of the agreement of design and installation of the sprinklers system with the requirement of Israeli Standard, with national adaptations and additions (SI 1596, NFPA 13, SI 1928, NFPA 25, NFPA 30)
  • Municipal water supply network specification examination – a test of water volumetric flow rates and water pressures as supplied by the municipal network and the testing point, SI 1596.
  • Extinguishing wheel examination – Normalcy and installation examination of extinguishing wheels at fire extinguishing positions – SI 2206.
  • Design and installation tests of water chilled systems – examination of the agreement of design and installation of chilling water systems by a flooding system used for cooling various structures such as transformers, pressure tanks, and more, with the requirements of NFPA 15.
  • Design and installation tests for foam systems – Design and installation examination of foam systems following the requirements of NFPA 11,16,30 for the fire extinguishing of liquid combustible materials.
  • Examination of fire extinguishing systems by dry powder – A review of dry powder extinguishing systems of materials that cannot be extinguished with water – SI 5356 Part 1.
  • Examination of fire extinguishing systems by wet powder (Fume-chambers in kitchens) – The examination of fire extinguishing systems with wet powder used for fire extinguishing in fume chambers installed in kitchens – SI 5356 part 2
  • Examination of pumps rooms for fire extinguishing – Examination of design, installation and operation of pumps rooms providing water supply for various fire extinguishing systems – NFPA 20
