Solar panels and hot water Heaters

The Standards Institution of Israel, as a testing body, performs supervision and tests pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 69 or Israeli Standard SI 579.1 and the regulations derived from this standard.

The department works for energy efficiency with the objective of reducing electricity use, while ensuring that the products tested are safe.

Sectors/products tested:

• Energy efficiency by solar collectors (performance tests, structure and materials tests) pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 579, Part 1
• Water heaters and basins (electrical safety tests, energy performance tests, and structure test) pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 69
