ROHS - Directive 2002/95/EC

The Chemistry, Health, and Environment Laboratory provides testing services for medical devices, electronics, and products exported to Europe.

The laboratory has ISO 17025 accreditation from ANSI National Accreditation Board ANAB.

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) tests have international recognition.

Most of the laboratory's activity focuses on product safety, environment, and public protection aspects.

Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Commission, which restricts the use of six hazardous substances used in the manufacture of certain electronics and appliances: lead, mercury, cadmium, chrome (chrome VI and Cr6+). PBB flame retardants, PBDE flame retardants, phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP)

Both RoHS 2 and RoHS 3 tests can be conducted
