Restraint Facilities (child seats for installation in motor vehicles)

The Vehicles and Spare Parts Department specializes in vehicles and their systems, and various technological fields affiliated with transportation and transportation safety. The department laboratory is certified by the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety.

The department personnel are skilled and have extensive experience in accident investigation, failure investigation, transportation research and surveys, testing vehicles following accidents, testing structural change to all types of vehicles, testing and calibrating licensing programs, testing vehicle stability, comparative testing of non-original vehicle spare parts, and safe vehicle spare parts.

Sectors/products tested:

• Child restraint facilities for motorized vehicles: this regulation applies to child restraint facilities adapted for installation in motor vehicles with three or more wheels, and which are not intended for use as folding seats or seats that face sideways. This standard defines the specifications for child restraint facilities used in motor vehicles and aircraft pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 1107.
