Fire Safety – flammability tests
The Fire Safety Laboratory performs fire tests on a wide range of products.
Building elements are tested for fire resistance, building materials are classified by their reaction to fire, and the flammability of products such as curtains, chairs, mattresses, and power conduits is tested.
System installation compliance tests are performed in the field for air conditioning systems, oven hoods, and smoke control systems. The application of building materials per their fire reaction classification and steel construction protection are also performed in the field.
Lighters and matches are tested for compliance with safety specifications.
The properties of fire extinguishing minerals and powders are also tested.

- Fire helmets pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 484
- Manually powered wheelchairs pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 1279
- Fire extinguishing powders pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 1022
