Children's furniture

The Chemistry, Health, and Environment Laboratory provides testing services. Most of the laboratory's activity focuses on product safety, environment, and public protection aspects.

The tests are conducted by an experienced professional team pursuant to Israeli and Israeli and international standards, using innovative automated testing devices.

Areas of activity/products tested

  • Testing of infant products and raw materials used in the furniture industry and in finished furniture
  • Wood and wood products raw materials: various tree species, Formica, compressed fiber sheets, OSB sheets, panels, melamine, MDF, multiply wood for different kinds of plywood.
  • Furniture and finished products: kitchen cabinets, office chairs, and bunk beds.
  • Infant products: beds and cribs, cradles, high chairs, diaper changing units, strollers, aglulim (crib strollers), walkers, etc.
  • Physical furniture tests, such as loads, recycling, skidding, stability, collapse, catching of fingers and limbs.
  • Chemical tests on children's furniture, such as formaldehyde, heavy metals, and phthalates
