Terms of Use of Management System Symbols

Organizations with Standards Institution of Israel certification can and should publish quality system symbols. We recommend printing the logo on office paper, prospectuses, announcements, marketing vehicles, and any other advertising material, and the organization website.


The guidelines for using the logo/symbol by Standards Institution of Israel-certified organizations are as follows:

The guidelines set forth below are pursuant to the relevant international rules for all certifications used by the Quality and Certifications Branch and pursuant to the annual monitoring agreement of the Standards Institution of Israel.

  1. Only use the logo/symbol that has been approved for you pursuant to the certification that the Standards Institution of Israel's Quality and Certifications Branch has issued for your organization and sent by email or the Post Office. The logo/symbol will be printed clearly and legibly. Its size may be increased, but without changing the proportions of the logo's parts and colors.
  2. Do not print the logo/symbol on a product or any product packaging in a way that is liable to create the impression that it is a permit to mark the product with a Standards Mark or other mark that the Standards Institution of Israel has decided, unless the manufacturer has been issued such a permit pursuant to the Standards Mark Regulations and the rules prescribed by the Standards Institution of Israel.
  3. State the company name, whether the certification was issued for only part of the company (department/branch). Only that name may be printed.
  4. State the standard for which the permit was issued; for example, SI ISO 9001: 2015. Do not state the general certification.
  5. Use is only permitted for the certified disciplines and activities.
  6. Use is only permitted by a certified company. The permit is not transferrable to any other party.
  7. The symbol may be used on company documents, signs, and means of advertising and marketing, and on documents for the organization's internal use, but are not a product supplied to a customer.
  8. Use of a logo/symbol by an accreditation body is permitted under the certification that the Standards Institution of Israel Quality and Certification Branch has issued to your organization and sent to you by email/Post Office and only jointly with the logo/emblem of the Standards Institution of Israel, and subject to the requirements set forth in the agreement in the matter of the complete certification process signed with the organization.
  9. Use of the IQNet logo/emblem is permitted under the certification that the Standards Institution of Israel Quality and Certification Branch has issued to your organization and sent to you by email/Post Office and only jointly with the logo/emblem of the Standards Institution of Israel.
  10. Do not use symbols of laboratory reports, calibration reports, test reports, or certificates that are a product of the organization.
  11. Do not use the symbol on the product or first packaging. Blueprints, specifications, and plans created by the organization for its customers are considered as a product and the symbol may not be used on them.

  12. Only for ISO22000 FSMS – The logo of FSMS shall not be used on the product nor the product packaging, both primary packaging (which contains the product) and any outer or secondary packaging, and shall not be use of any statement on product packaging that the client has a certified FSMS. This includes all product packaging, both primary packaging (which contains the product) and any outer or secondary packaging.

  13. In situations of suspension and/or cancellation of the certification, the organization shall immediately cease using the symbols of the Standards Institution of Israel. if the application of the certification is narrowed or changed, the organization shall change the use of the symbols to the aforesaid changes.
