Scaffolding
Scaffolding is a temporary structure used to support people and equipment during the construction or renovation of structures.
Scaffolding is usually a modular network of steel rods, but other materials may also be used pursuant to what is stated in the standard. The installation and use of scaffolding inherently incurs potential safety risks.
Pursuant to the Planning and Building Law, a scaffolding designer must be certified engineer.
There are a number of kinds of scaffolding commonly used by the Israeli construction industry:
- Access and working scaffolds scaffolding
- Suspended mechanical scaffolding
- Mast climbing scaffolding
- Static or mobile tower scaffolding
