Materials Strength and Mechanical Testing
The department tests compliance of a wide range of products with Israeli and foreign standards. The department's materials strength laboratory is equipped with advanced professional devices to test stress and pressure up to 100 tons, including dynamic loads, on samples and assemblies.
The department is accredited by the Israel Laboratory Accreditation Authority to test steel rebar for concrete pursuant to Israeli Standard SI 4466, Part 3, and to test mechanical properties of metal materials pursuant to ISO 6892-1.
The department also has a metallurgy laboratory for testing the hardness, microstructure, and other properties of metal materials.
