Jewelry and Precious Metals

Jewelry is a valuable good and it is important to validate the purity rating of the precious metal. The Chemicals, Health, and Environment Laboratory provides importers with testing, validation, and signatory services for gold and other precious metals.
We have available a wide array of tests for precious metals, which enable the provision of quick professional of quality tests at a fair price. The laboratory uses automated and innovative tests to perform tests pursuant to Israeli and foreign standards, which greatly shorten the testing process without affecting its quality.
The laboratory has accreditation from the ANSI- National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

• Use of precise chemical methods to test and validate gold, silver, and platinum products
• Use of non-invasive XDF scanners to identify and establish the composition of precious metals and alloys
• Laser engraving of jewelry mark
• Nickel (an allergenic metal) presence and roaming test in metal products that will come into contact with the skin (piercing, etc.)
• Presence of cadmium and lead test in jewelry items to conform to European standards
• Signing of jewelry by a special manual or laser ring for precious jewelry
