ISO 30401:2018: Knowledge management system

The ISO30401:2018 standard establishes requirements for knowledge management systems in organizations, and discusses the establishment and maintenance of knowledge management systems, establishing a culture of knowledge management and sharing it, knowledge management solutions and how to measure knowledge in the organization.

The content and implementation of a knowledge management system at an organization has a number of influences:

• Organization characteristics, including its size, structure, and stakeholders
• Organization environment, changes to it, and risks in it
• Organization culture, especially its knowledge management system culture

The standard is applicable for all types of private and public organizations and enterprises, as well as non-profit organizations, irrespective of their size or business.
